A compassionate and mindful approach to healing
I offer Core Process Psychotherapy which is a depth and relational psychotherapy that integrates Mindfulness with western psychotherapeutic theory. While some of our work will involve you telling your story, I will also invite you to pay attention to your bodily sensations, to explore what happens in the present moment. In this process, through mindful, embodied self-inquiry we can listen more deeply to ourselves and explore long-held patterns.
Working with a therapist in an atmosphere of presence and care can help us uncover hidden or unacknowledged feelings and defences which may be contributing to how we handle situations in our life, opening towards what has been too painful for us to be with. The difficulties of our lives need to be received with compassion to enable us to integrate conflicting and contradictory feelings. As we experience greater acceptance, we can have more confidence in being more authentic and real with others in our lives.
Therapy can be a rich and life-changing experience, a journey that can be challenging, but also rewarding. This kind of inner work provides a profound support for your development and growth as a person. It is a way you can begin to bring all of yourself into a more harmonious whole with no parts left out.

Core Process Psychotherapy
Core Process Psychotherapy is the original Mindfulness-based psychotherapy. It combines the wisdom and compassion of Buddhism with western approaches to psychology and is founded on the belief that true healing is only possible to the extent that we can be fully present to the immediacy of our inner and outer experience.
Confidentiality and ethics
I trained in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute in Devon. I am a UKCP Psychotherapist, registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy, of which The Karuna Institute is a member organisation. Confidentiality and professional standards form an essential part of Core Process Psychotherapy. All psychotherapy is conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the UKCP.
